endless weekend

It's that time of year, reading week a.k.a. procrastinate week. Joking, I've actually got a game plan for my homework & work schedule this week.
I've totally got this, I swear.

This weekend (yes i'm including Monday) was quite productive, there was tons of quality time with friends, dancing, eating and no shopping - thank god. I even ended up talking to a friend who moved to Europe after high-school, then talked to two girls in my program who are currently abroad in Taipei. Anyways, scroll down to see the weekend life that I lived.

Here's a song I've been loving, have a listen

Friendship Friday. Noella - Valentina, Check.

I mean, it was in a glass tea cup. All the class, for one little glass.

A late night stroll after a night of dancing, stumbled upon this.

GLOWBAL. The food was delicious, the interior was glamorous. I need an excuse to go back

Ended up getting the Raspberry Macaroon and Chocolate Pistachio Cake at NOSH. Yum, Sister Saturday was a success.

Skip to Monday where I did homework in a Starbucks as a waited for my friend. (That Self Evaluation that I'm writing, yes, it does say A range)

Took a little peak into a few shops in Gastown. Adore The Latest Scoop!

Grilled Romaine at the Pourhouse, it can never do me wrong.

You can never pass up a good shot of the city.

Monday's retail research was more fun then expected. The makeup section always makes me drool.

To finish of this magnificent Monday we treated ourselves to this chocolate paradise in Nordstrom

Check off your days

I have a whiteboard calendar in my bedroom, uni schedule, work things, family stuff, birthdays, due dates and anything else that needs to be scheduled are written down (I can be miss.forgetful at times). I look at that board every time i'm in my bedroom, which is a lot, and several months ago I noticed that I crossed off the days with an X and something inside of me question that. The X suggested a thought like "finally, this day is over" and when I looked at my calendar mid way through the month, it was kind of sad looking because of all the X's, the crossed out days. The optimistic side of me was asking myself why don't I check off the days to suggest a thought like "today has been completed". This was a very small change that I made in my life and it was something that I shared with my friend who remembered this change I made (and reminded me of it yesterday) and told me that it had an influence in her life. Made me feel pretty darn good about myself.

So I guess what i'm saying is, don't X cross your days off, check them off.

Obsessed with this sweater weather

My camera was on and this was the shot and it's cool okay?

Aesthetic, am I right ladies?

Lot's of hard work happened this weekend...

A very important prezi was created

WEAKEND

Best part of the weekend? Thanksgiving dinner. Worst part of the weekend? Homework.
Not that I don't enjoy fashion homework -I'd rather be doing this then anything to do with history or sciences- but there comes a point when you can only handle so much hand sewing and computer drafting. My teacher actually gave me some very realistic advice the other day. To put it lightly, what she said, "it's a maturity thing". So though i'm not exactly enjoying some of my classes this semester, it's all relevant. It's all relevant. I do enjoy block printing though, I mean, look at those flowers? Also took a mental break by going to the mall...again..oops.

W E E K E N D

This weekend consisted of good food, great friends and an absolute guarantee that school is back in session. This is a remix of a song that I love by The Virgins called Rich Girl that's been my tune of choice, I found this mix on SoundCloud.

Saturday

After the first long week of being back at school I was quite happy that my friend decided to host her post 21st birthday at a lovely little place downtown. I threw on a comfy pair of XXI jeans, a little bag from H&M and a beautiful black silk blouse from Zara. Paired with my over-worn boots from XXI, I went to get the best mac&cheese in Gastown with my lovely friend Catherine. We then made our way over to the Diamond for drinks with some great company..

Sunday

I started my day with seeing Catherine for brunch, where she made some excellent french toast and had an array of Keurig coffee cups for me to choose from (I went for the Rain forest Blend). I went home, prepared my fits for the week and read a page of "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff" by Richard Carlson. This little book has 100 things that you shouldn't "sweat" about, and the lessons usually make me feel insightful and like I've actually learned something that I can apply to my everyday life.
