Spotted an #ootd

Recently my life has turned into train rides to and from the city and working by the beach. This is my official last summer break, crazy to realize. I'm so excited to keep working during my final year. Also excited that Kate is back from her travels, that it's going to be sweater weather next month and that my music list has been bumpin' lately.

Just for taste:

P.S. I thrifted a black velvet sweater today - stoked about it.

Coffee, Tacos and May

I've been absent for a month or so, but I've got some solid reasons why I've not posted, I promise.
As my Spring semester at Uni ended I celebrated my older friends graduations. I must admit, I've gone out dancing one too many times in the month of April, I was so busy having fun and truly living in the moment, watching all the people I admire and look up to graduate from uni - I got so inspired. I've been collecting images, and color references, and name ideas that will all to go towards my final thesis collection which I begin developing in the Fall.
Today though was a great little day. I had a conversation about the purpose of design and creation over coffee, watched The First Monday In May and relived walking around the exhibition last May (China: Through The Looking Glass AND I would pay to watch it again), and ate some delicious tacos. It's days like this that I really appreciate spending one on one time with friends.

2 more things, I'm obsessed with VIEWS, Drake is bae. I also made a pretty bomb playlist and you should have a listen:

Buro Vanilla Latte is a yes, so is POOL.

Cotrolla - Feel No Ways - Child's Play , on repeat

Memories of New York, I would do anything to go back this Summer...

Tacofino has changed my life, thank you Sisi

A moment pt.2

hetki / a moment

"Vancouver based Scandinavian inspired design.

We appreciate the contrast between light & dark, ethereal & intrepid, uncomplicated & uncommon.

Creating minimal and meaningful pieces that support the "slow fashion" movement.

A moment lady appreciates the value of investing.

Our collection blurs the lines between seasonal trends to provide our customers with a timeless wardrobe which will last her years.

After spending time living and studying fashion design in Vancouver, Canada, Kate Schreiner took her studies over to Helsinki, Finland where she found herself immersed in culture, simplicity, and a beautiful lifestyle which provided inspiration for this Vancouver based company."

endless weekend

It's that time of year, reading week a.k.a. procrastinate week. Joking, I've actually got a game plan for my homework & work schedule this week.
I've totally got this, I swear.

This weekend (yes i'm including Monday) was quite productive, there was tons of quality time with friends, dancing, eating and no shopping - thank god. I even ended up talking to a friend who moved to Europe after high-school, then talked to two girls in my program who are currently abroad in Taipei. Anyways, scroll down to see the weekend life that I lived.

Here's a song I've been loving, have a listen

Friendship Friday. Noella - Valentina, Check.

I mean, it was in a glass tea cup. All the class, for one little glass.

A late night stroll after a night of dancing, stumbled upon this.

GLOWBAL. The food was delicious, the interior was glamorous. I need an excuse to go back

Ended up getting the Raspberry Macaroon and Chocolate Pistachio Cake at NOSH. Yum, Sister Saturday was a success.

Skip to Monday where I did homework in a Starbucks as a waited for my friend. (That Self Evaluation that I'm writing, yes, it does say A range)

Took a little peak into a few shops in Gastown. Adore The Latest Scoop!

Grilled Romaine at the Pourhouse, it can never do me wrong.

You can never pass up a good shot of the city.

Monday's retail research was more fun then expected. The makeup section always makes me drool.

To finish of this magnificent Monday we treated ourselves to this chocolate paradise in Nordstrom

New Series: TOPSHOP Wish List

Welcome my fellow readers! I thought it would be fun to add a new series, more fashion related, to my blog! I actually think that these will be my favorite kinds of posts to write because I'll get to chat to you about trends, seasonal items, and shops which I think are great places to get style items from. Since TOPSHOP just opened a location in Vancouver, and seeing as how I was quickly overwhelmed by the amazing-ness of the store, I thought it would be the perfect time to make a list of things I want. The prices in TOPSHOP are a bit pricey but from what i've heard (From Youtbers & Bloggers) the quality is great.

1. PETITE LONG SLEEVE CROP TEE
Because Winter is still here I think it's essential to keep warm. Though this is a cropped shirt, there would be endless ways of styling it and it would also make a great transitional piece for Spring

2. PETITE EAGLE ARMY JACKET
Army is a trend that has came and gone several times throughout the evolution of fashion. I believe the last time I wore anything army was in 2006...Crazy huh? Well this jacket not only brings back the trend, but it's a great layering piece as well and looks like it would give an exceptional amount of warmth. The added spike studs along the shoulder are a total bonus.

3. GEEK TEE
Graphic tee's, anything with bold or artsy print will never go out of style. This is especially cute because of the rolled sleeves wich kinda make it look a bit bad-ass contrasting to the white bold GEEK print. I'm also a sucker for a deep red or oxblood colored anything!

4. CONE STUD CAMO JACKET
This khaki green jacket looks durable and again, easy to wear! With some leggings/black skinnies and some gold accessories & sleek hair you could dress up this jacket a lot!

5. RAGGED BEANIE BY THE RAGGED PRIEST
I've kinda been obsessed with beanies. I don't many but I see them EVERYWHERE! This one is very cool and rebel-esque and I think it would be perfect and ideal for cold cold cities...i.e. Vancity!

What are pieces from TOPSHOP that you've been dying to get?
