Spotted an #ootd

Recently my life has turned into train rides to and from the city and working by the beach. This is my official last summer break, crazy to realize. I'm so excited to keep working during my final year. Also excited that Kate is back from her travels, that it's going to be sweater weather next month and that my music list has been bumpin' lately.

Just for taste:

P.S. I thrifted a black velvet sweater today - stoked about it.

Set No Path an #ootd

The obvious becomes more apparent when you experience certain situations first hand. It's taken me a long time to understand that you don't have to be into fashion to be in the fashion industry. A company is comprised of so many aspects down to technical and strategic business elements. "Straight and narrow is not the only path to success" (Sophia Amoruso) It takes a couple shitty jobs and experiences to land "the one". For all we know, the one job we strive for, our dream job, may only turn out to be temporary. There's a reason why investments can mean higher risk. (To be continued.)

I'm obsessed with this girls voice,

Thrill an #ootd

The thrill is gone - Seth Godin
"Of course it is.
The definition of a thrill is temporary excitement, usually experienced for the first time.
It's thrilling to ride a roller coaster. The fifth time you have to ride it, though, it's more than a chore, it's torture.
The definition of the thrill is that it's going to be gone soon.
You might have been thrilled to go to your first job the first day. Or thrilled to see the first comment on your blog or thrilled the first time one of your books was translated into another language.
But after that? How can repeating it be thrilling?
The work of a professional isn't to recreate thrills. It's to show up and do the work. To continue the journey you set out on a while ago. To make the change you seek to make in the universe.
Thrilling is fine. Mattering is more important."

M.A.S.H & more an #ootd

My creative identity is not defined by numbers or letters. It is uncovered though a journey of mishaps and the everlasting lust for imagination. When the realization of potential coincide with my values, my dreams then become a foreseeing goal. The mind is set by beliefs which I look into the universe for.
Paths widen, doors open and the future doesn’t seem so far away.

"The only thing I smoke is my competition" an #ootd

Title of this post is credited to Mrs. Sophia Amoruso, a fashion maven, empire builder and #girlboss

The ruthlessness of an ENTJ spirit isn't necessarily a bad thing. I think it acts as a strength, I look at idols in my life such as Kelly Cutrone or Sophia Amoruso and think, they really didn't know what the future would hold for them, they saw a path, created opportunity and took it. I've been trying hard not to plan too far ahead and to create opportunity and use who I know and what I know to bring me further. That's my current thought bubble.

Classic pink shirt.

This is the first late night of the semester. If we talked on the phone tonight, thanks for keeping me procrastinated.
