Watch it

Marc by Marc Jacobs Baker 36.5MM
Michael Kors Silver Color Stainless Steel Blair Glitz

The Marc Jacobs one is amazing daytime/night casual watch. It's light, it's soft and you can practically wear it with anything. The Michael Kors one is much heavier, it can make an outfit look more put together, more expensive and more glam. It is pretty heavy, so make sure your wrist can hold it up. It's fabulous and compliments any arm candy that you wish to pair with it. I feel like the Marc Jacobs looks better with out any other jewelry on the wrists but that's just my personal taste.

Are you guys into watches? What's your favorite?

Revlon Matte Lipstick in Smoked Peach

After hearing about this Lipstick from Youtuber BeautyCrush, I decided to go to Walmart and pick one up myself. The color is exactly what the name is, Smoked Peach! It's a unique nude because it is orange based but on the lips it looks subtle and chic. Its a great color for casual, everyday work or school wear and it could also be used for a smokey eye look too.
I adore Matte finished Lipsticks but this one had a different texture compared to the Matte MAC lipsticks I own. This Revlon one is a tad grainy feeling but that being said I still love the way this color looks on my lips and I'm sure it would suit many skin tones :)
Just remember to make sure your lips are exfoliated before using Matte finished lipsticks because they can be drying at times.

What is your favorite brand of Lipsticks? & Do whats your favorite finish?!

Revlon Raven Red Nail Polish - 721

This color by Revlon has seriously stuck around in my nail polish collection forever! It's a really nice cranberry red color, I have no idea why it's called Raven Red... I do well with applying 2 coats of this polish then apply a top coat to make it extra shiny. The lasting power isn't too bad, 3-5 days and then i'll notice chipping.

Whats your favorite red nail polish color?

Matte MAC Lipsticks

There are many loves of my life. Matte MAC lipsticks happen to be one of them. I am seriously gaga over this formula by MAC and I can guarantee you that my matte lipstick collection will be forever growing

The three that I own are Ruby Woo, a blue toned bright red, So Chaud, a medium colored orange- it's not too neon and it’s not too dark either, and Chilli, a brick brown-red which is my daily lipstick that I’ll wear to uni or work. All three of these lipsticks are insanely pigmented and the staying power on them is remarkable. I would say that last 5 hours without having to reapply. And with a lip liner the lasting power would only increase.

The next matte lipstick I want to purchase is Candy Yum Yum, it’s a hot pink and I think it would be amazing for the summer time!

( Left to Right; Ruby Woo - So Chaud - Chilli )

What is your favorite finish of lipstick? Do you have any matte colors for me to try?

MAC Satin Lipstick, Rebel

Okay, so my most recent Mac purchase was this gorgeous purple-pink lipstick called Rebel. It is a Satin lipstick which means it is a semi-matte color. It looks VERY intense in the tube, but I assure you it’s not that crazy of a color. I backed to Mac a few lip glossed that I have owned for ages, a lipstick and a blush container. After watching beauty gurus such as Tanya Burr and Jen Im mention and rock this amazing color, I knew it was one that I had to get! With a dark red/purple lip liner you can make the color very intense and make it looking like how it does in the tube. With a nude lip liner, or no lip liner at all this color appears on my lips are a berry purple-pink. Kind of like the inside color of a blackberry! It’s more daring and bold but a color that is not difficult to wear at all! Though it is a better suited for Fall/Winter, I will for sure be wearing in the summer, like the rebel I am ;)

MAC Archie's Girls

Fully aware I have been absent for a while! My apologies, I have just been so crazy busy with Uni, and as soon as Midterms ended, I'm not going to lie, I got lazy and forgot about blogging for a little bit! But I'm back, for now! :)

Around Valentines day MAC came out with one of the BEST collections we have ever seen. The Archie's Girl collections was to die for. I have a weird obsession with MAC lipsticks so, of course, I had to get one. At first I was drawn to "Betty Bright" from the Betty line, and "Boyfriend Stealer" from the Veronica line. Unfortunately "Betty Bright" was sold out and "Boyfriend Stealer" was a bit too sheer and red for my linking. Soon after the lovely lady at MAC told me this, she showed me this color. Uhm...how much do I love this color? Too much!! Its a pinky-pale-lilac and its ah-mazing.

The lady at MAC showed me how to Ombre this lipstick with a darker lip pencil, which you can somewhat see in the photo above. This color is truly amazing and I know for a fact that Summer time will love this color as much as I do!

What did you guys think of the collection? Did you pick anything up form it? :)

Review: Ciate Sequin Manicure Kit

I recently tried out the Ciate Sequin Nail Manicure that I received as a birthday present. It comes with a pot of glitter sequins, a brush to remove excess sequins and the top coat/glue. So basically it turned out better then I had expected, thought I do need to perfect my technique because there was SUCH a crazy amount of glitter on my nails. It lasted for about 5 days before I saw major chipping, which is really really good! There are so many types of designs and ways to use these sequins (using a few or making cool shapes).

You could easily go to Micheals or any other craft store and purchase more glitter/sequins or what ever pleases you, and go to the drugstore and buy a super awesome topcoat and get the same effect for possibily a cheaper price. I'll possibly be purchasing different glitters and textures to do a similar look so keep your eyes pealed for that!

Have you ever tried anything like this with your nails? If so, how did you do it?!

Review: fresh Sugar Lip Balms

Best lip balms ever? I think so! Being a Sephora beauty insider there are special perks such as getting certain sample/mini products when you reach 100 points, 500 points or on your birthday. This year I received a fresh Sugar lips lip balm minis! They are so cute and tiny! They are also so smooth and buttery! Around the holiday season they had a gift set or 2 but a full size for one of these is 26$ Canadian. Quite expensive for a lip balm, I know! They do last quite a long time, and although you could find other alternatives such as a Burts Bee's tints lip balm or a Baby lips chapstick the quality would not compare. They  have 7 types of Lip care treatment balm that you can have a look at here. Most of their other products are sold at Sephora, but if you have a Beauty Insider card and its close to your birthday or it just passed, I would highly recommend you go to Sephora to pick up your little gift!

Have you tried any of the fresh products? What did you think about them?!

Review: TOPSHOP Lip Stick

I recently went to TOPSHOP for the first time and must I say, walking through that store is an experience! Honestly, I just wanted to buy every damn thing. One of the things I loved about it is that there was a whole beauty section. I swear I had 100 swatches of lip colors by the time I walked out of there!

The color I bought was a lipstick in Clueless. Its a sick lipstick if that makes sense. The consistency is buttery and smooth like a lip balm. The pigmentation is buildable but vibrant. I've wanted a hot hot pink for a really long time now and i really love this lip color for my skin tone. There's a pretty large rang of colors and products to choose from. Clueless is a very hot pink but it has some purpley/violet undertones to it. I would suggest wearing a nude or pink lip liner underneath to enhance the staying power. But overall I love this color!! I'll be sure to pink some more up when I go back!

Do you guys wear lip liners a lot & where are your favorite ones from? And have you tried TOPSHOP makeup?

Review: Benefit They're Real Mascara

Benefit's latest mascara, "They're Real!" was introduced in Fall 2012. I was sceptical to try this mascara because a couple years ago I had tried the "Big Fatty Mascara" and I was not a hug fan of it. After hearing Youtubers such as Tiffany D rave about this mascara I knew I had to try it out. When I had purchased my Sephora Mascara Sampler in December this was one on the mascaras included, and I’m happy to say this product IS worth its hype!

It not only lengthens my lashes but give tons of volume!  You can get up to 2 coats without it looking clumpy, the staying power is amazing and it’s not super difficult to take off. The wand is plastic and the spikes wrap around the whole want, including the tip (look closely at the photo bellow). I definitely give this mascara an 8/10. Why not 10? I have a personal preference of non-plastic wands and I also like more lengthening mascara opposed to volumizing. I still think this mascara is pretty amazing and would totally purchase the full size!

Left eyelashes with They're Real Mascara, Right eyelashes are my natural lashes!
Note: In the pictures above I did not use an eyelash curler

Have you guys tried this mascara or any other from Benefit? What did you think?

Review: Forever21 Lipsticks

So it’s safe to say that this month there will be TONS of beauty reviews. I've been loving so many products lately its unbelievable! To kick of a review I thought I would make a post about the underdogs of lipsticks from Forever 21. These lipsticks retail for $3.80 in Canada. There isn't a very definite selection and it’s hard to even see the colors of the lipsticks in the package. The gold packaging may appear very pretty but it’s cheap and plastic-y. The tubes are a bit shorter then a MAC lipstick but all that being said....THEY ARE AMAZING!

Seriously guys, the pigmentation and staying power of these lipsticks are incredible! You may need to reapply them once or twice throughout the night but for a very cheap lipstick what are you really expecting anyways?! The names of the colors I own shown below are Magenta and Rose. I looked up the color selection of their lipsticks online and there are 5 Shimmering Lipsticks which includes the colors Magenta, Cherry, Rose, Light Pink and Neutral. There are also 2 Matte Lipsticks in Rose and Pink. (I believe both of the lipsticks I own are from the Shimmering Lipstick shades) There are other types of lipsticks that you can check out here.

These lipsticks are so affordable that it is not hard for me to walk into a Forever 21 and not check them out. I suggest if you are on a budget and like to try new products to get them! Super affordable and they go on smooth and butter-y and are super long wearing, especially if you wear a lip liner underneath!

(Top - Magenta, Bottom - Rose)

Have you tried the lipsticks from Forever 21? Or any other of they're beauty products? Be sure to let me know! :)

Naked Basics First Impression

SO, I did it. I bought it! I was debating whether to get the Naked 2 or Basics. I ended up buying this one because, A. I still have plenty of my warm shimmery Naked palette left and B. The basics was cheaper. Now, you could probably go to another (million) blogs with amazing lighting and swatches but here are my horrid swatches anyways :)

The 1st thing I really really like how I don't own any of these colors! Haha All the colors are smooth and velvety, almost like butter. Seriously amazing quality guys! The color I will probably get the most wear out of i'm guessing would be Tease. It's similar to Buck from the original Naked palette but a bit cooler. This palette in general, and in my opinion are cooler tones just as the Naked 2 are. I still love all these colors regardless of warm or cool tones.

I believe this palette was 32$ (Canadian of course) And I think it was a total bang for my buck! (Get it? Buck? like the color I like the most? Harharhar) Especially since I love any Matte finish makeup.

Do you think it's work the money to buy the Basics if you have the original or the 2nd? What do you think about it in general?
