Blue Ocean Floor #notd

(Left to Right)
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme wear nail color in 100 Invisible
L'Oreal Paris in 100 Base Coat
L'Oreal Paris 120 Quick Dry
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme wear nail color in 07 Deep Sea Blue

I rarely use base coats because I'm a lazy person, and I don'y really believe in quick dry either. I just don't understand how it can make your polish dry faster! Is anyone on the same page as me?

But I decided to give them another whirl because I was in the mood to do a little fix up after I decided to peel my acrylics off...Ouchie

I also don't really pay attention to seasonal colors, I think that all colors can we worn year round paired with the right thing. I went with a deep blue because I thought it would glisten in the sunlight and I was just in a very blue mood.

What colors do you have on your fingers?

Revlon Raven Red Nail Polish - 721

This color by Revlon has seriously stuck around in my nail polish collection forever! It's a really nice cranberry red color, I have no idea why it's called Raven Red... I do well with applying 2 coats of this polish then apply a top coat to make it extra shiny. The lasting power isn't too bad, 3-5 days and then i'll notice chipping.

Whats your favorite red nail polish color?

American Apparel Wishlist

Another Wishlist! I have SO many of these coming your way. I legitimately get so hyped up by things I see on Tumblr or on store websites. One of my favorite stores is American Apparel but I only really love the store because of their amazing nail lacquers! Here are a few things I want to purchase this year from AA.

1. Nail lacquer
I've always been a huge fan of the nail lacquer from AA. All you really need is one coat because they are opaque as can be! I believe the bottles hold more nail polish then an OPI and their color range is just amazing. They have recently added Neon, Sheer, and Metallic lines of lacquers and I am SO excited to collect more!
2. Viscose shawl cardigan
This shawl cardigan looks like the perfect throw for a breezy summer day. I would want to purchase the white/grey color because it would match to any summer outfit and it also looks like a super cosy material
3. Beanie
I own a beanie from TNA but this one is just so much cuter! I think the pom pom would suite the Fall/Winter months better but I would want a black or red one for summer time to make an outfit more grunge or edgy. And would look great with winged eyeliner, I think!
4. 3D flower mesh jumper
I've had my eye on this jumper for a really long time now. It comes in a variety of colors, white, black, purple, rose, and light blue, (maybe more). Lana Del Rey is sporting it in the photo above, and I think it would look gorgeous with light blue jeans or a black skater skirt.

What do you wish for from AA?

Mint sorbet

I've had this polish for quite some time and i'll usually wear it throughout Spring and Summer. I thought it looked sad and lonely sitting in my drawer so I took it out and used it! Although it isn't quite a Winter looking color, does it really matter if I love the color?! Haha! :p

Review: Ciate Sequin Manicure Kit

I recently tried out the Ciate Sequin Nail Manicure that I received as a birthday present. It comes with a pot of glitter sequins, a brush to remove excess sequins and the top coat/glue. So basically it turned out better then I had expected, thought I do need to perfect my technique because there was SUCH a crazy amount of glitter on my nails. It lasted for about 5 days before I saw major chipping, which is really really good! There are so many types of designs and ways to use these sequins (using a few or making cool shapes).

You could easily go to Micheals or any other craft store and purchase more glitter/sequins or what ever pleases you, and go to the drugstore and buy a super awesome topcoat and get the same effect for possibily a cheaper price. I'll possibly be purchasing different glitters and textures to do a similar look so keep your eyes pealed for that!

Have you ever tried anything like this with your nails? If so, how did you do it?!
