i t s f i n e an #ootd

These days, the best kinds of days are the ones that are completely unplanned. Vanilla lattes and walks downtown make me feel like this is the right way to start summer. Seeing as I'm nothing but broke right now I think it's time for me to hone in on my goals. I've got my manifestation list for the summer in one hand and a really sick playlist on my iPhone in the other.

The blog needed a little color, I wonder how many times these walls have been painted on.
And on that note I leave you with this track:

Regulars

My friend Kate and I have recently took it upon ourselves to really make an effort to enjoy the finer things in life. Maybe the next big thing is to enjoy all the little things - poutine from Chill Winston, taking advantage of Happy Hour at Starbucks (and other places) and people/dog watching in the park.

Coffee, Tacos and May

I've been absent for a month or so, but I've got some solid reasons why I've not posted, I promise.
As my Spring semester at Uni ended I celebrated my older friends graduations. I must admit, I've gone out dancing one too many times in the month of April, I was so busy having fun and truly living in the moment, watching all the people I admire and look up to graduate from uni - I got so inspired. I've been collecting images, and color references, and name ideas that will all to go towards my final thesis collection which I begin developing in the Fall.
Today though was a great little day. I had a conversation about the purpose of design and creation over coffee, watched The First Monday In May and relived walking around the exhibition last May (China: Through The Looking Glass AND I would pay to watch it again), and ate some delicious tacos. It's days like this that I really appreciate spending one on one time with friends.

2 more things, I'm obsessed with VIEWS, Drake is bae. I also made a pretty bomb playlist and you should have a listen:

Buro Vanilla Latte is a yes, so is POOL.

Cotrolla - Feel No Ways - Child's Play , on repeat

Memories of New York, I would do anything to go back this Summer...

Tacofino has changed my life, thank you Sisi

B E F O R E M O N D A Y . . .

And just like that, the weekend is over. Nothing eventful happened this weekend, I drank lots of coffee, read my October issue of Nylon, went though my closet to find some new combinations of outfits to wear, worked on a little analysis package for my work practicum prep class and made some delish banana bread for a little social school gathering tomorrow. End of run-on sentence.

Not in the know an #ootd

It's exactly the moment when you forget to save your work and you close the wrong window by accident. Taking a healthy study break by blogging obviously. Went out on Friday morning to do some retail research which could have gone better, at least this wall brought some color to a rather gloomy day.

1-800-whats-our-sign-compatibility an #ootd

I know it's been quite a while, but this summer has been quite a whirlwind.

From travelling to New York and then exploring the streets of Venice, Italy, then coming back to Vancity and having to dive into a new job as a graphic design assistant then going to work in a showroom for a week, dentist appointments, working as a Student Assistant at my Uni, SO.MANY.THINGS.

And the party doesn't stop, more work, a wedding coming up this weekend, and shortly with school coming around the corner I've just been non-stop!

But today, my friends, I got a lovely break. On this beautiful Tuesday I went out with one of my best for a little window shopping downtown, drank an excellent cappuccino and ate delicious salted caramel doughnut. And amazing company of course.
Just like me and Angela always do, here are some shots of my outfit of the day ;)

Talk soon!

It was Fate an #ootd

The Lana Del Rey album came out this week... Seriously it is great (best songs are West Coast, Shades of Cool and Florida Kilos), now on to today's post!

THIS SHIRT WAS $9.80. From where? ZARA.

I'm still extremely excited about this steal (purchased it on the weekend) but my oh my, it's a size small and it fits like a medium. It is just over sized enough, the sleeves are nicely cuffed and the length is perfect. Not to mention that all of Zara's t shirts are made with material from the heavens. Know what I'm sayin'?

I was blessed that this was the last and only top in the entire store of this style left! It was fate.

....Still here, still excited.
