The glory that is, the Kate Spade agenda

Kate Spade NY
SET THE STAGE 17-MONTH LARGE AGENDA
August 2014 - December 2015
elastic closure
This glorious agenda was easy to come by, it's chic, trendy, all the other kids are doing it...I know you want to, too.

After watching the bullet journal video (click here if you haven't seen this amazing notebook) I was on a look out for a new method/place to keep track of life and all the exciting this I have going on all the time... Haha* While looking for something downtown the other day with my friend Serena (her blog here) we saw these amazing agendas but were very hesitant to purchase because...who spends 36 dollars on a agenda?

A week or so goes by and my friend Angela (her illustrations here) tells me that she purchased the green ikat Kate Spade agenda. All the more motivation and influence to purchase it myself. So I had a talk with myself that this is going to help me plan out my time better, that I won't pull late nighters for school and that I'll be able to track my school work and social outings with this planner.
And here we are..

This planner is amazing, Uni has not started yet but I know this will be put to good use. Here are more photos of the journal. They have 4/5 patterns that you can choose from, this one just felt right to me.

Oh and I love how every tab page for a new month has a quote on it!

It's separated into 2 sections, 2014 & 2015.
The tabs for the first section are:
2015 & 2016 (mini year calender shown in picture above)
2015 Celebrations
Notes
Aug 14 - Dec 14

Second section of tabs are:
Jan 15 - Dec 15

They would have this at any of the larger bookstores you live by. I got mine at Chapters/Indigo.

What do you guys think? Do you like it, would you invest in a planner?

there once was a shirt dress an #ootd

Kate Spade Stacy Cherry Lane Wallet
Lotus Ring & others
XXI Lipstick
Marc by Marc Jacobs Baker 36.5 MM
XXI Sunglasses
ASOS Shirt Dress, XXI booties
I found this ASOS shirt dress at Beacon's Closet in New York (an amazing designer-esque, discount thrift store). I bought it for a couple different reasons, uno being that I loved the color and deux being I've never owned anything from ASOS. But I must say, without high heeled shoes this outfit looks very incomplete. The size is in a small but it kinda fits strange. I was impulsive when I bought it that's for sure. As I was saying, with some booties this dress/thing looks great. It was somewhere between 18 and 21 dollars and I just didn't want to pass it up.

I'm actually tossing these shoes out at the end of summer because they are SO scuffed. Really, I could write a tragedy on how much these shoes were my night and day. I basically out wore them in 2 years, and i'm not much of a shoe lady, but I think 2 years for a pair of XXI shoes is pretty damn good. XXI booties are always comfy and the perfect height. I've owned a couple pairs before this one and they have all lasted a great amount of time. These boots were all that I wore, I need to expand my horizons this year. Maybe even invest!

Any brands you recommend for good boots like these that are going to last a while?

Wow - How to Not June Favourites

Friday, June 20, 2014

Oh my, Beautiful

When I was in New York earlier this month I laid my eyes upon this magnificent piece of leather.

Though in the store it was 25% off, I was convinced that it was not worth the money. After being home for about a month I decided that I could not live without it and made a purchase on katespade.com. Let me tell you, this is one that I have no regret about.

It's called the Stacy Cherry Lane wallet and it comes in a variety of colors, I just happened to choose black because I'm classic and slightly boring like that (ha ha). It took me a while to realize that the inside of this wallet is a midnight color opposed to black, which I have no problems with. I think the textured surface is interesting and easy to feel for inside of my handbag.

There are 12 card holders, one clear for ID and four for cash/receipts etc. I like that there is only one zip pouch which is on the back of the wallet but the only issue I have with the pocket is that the zip is huge. I mean, it isn't a major set back but I think it looks slightly out of proportion. Another thing about this wallet that I am not used to is the fact that there is only one button closure to keep it closed. It is something that I've got to get used to having but again, not a major set back.

Overall, I think I'd give this wallet a 9/10. Seriously, no flaws and all glory.

I FORGOT TO MENTION
If you sign up with Kate Spade you get 15% off your purchase (score!) It helped me out a bit, thought it would be useful for you guys to know :)...

What do you think?...
